Our methodology: casinos scored from public data only — seven weighted criteria, 29 checks, and a dated primary source for every point awarded.
We rate online casinos using public data only. We do not open accounts, deposit money, test withdrawals or contact support. Our score therefore measures how verifiable, complete and player-friendly an operator’s published information is — not how fast it actually pays out in practice.
The sources we use
Public licence registers and regulator certificate pages (e.g. the Curaçao Gaming Authority, the Anjouan register, the GGL whitelist)
The operator’s terms and conditions
Published payment and withdrawal terms (cashier and help-centre pages)
Bonus terms on the operator’s own pages
The operator’s responsible-gambling page or the RG rules in its terms
Published support channels
Review sites, forums and affiliate pages never earn points. At most they tell us where to look in the primary sources.
Criteria and weights
Each criterion is made of fixed checks worth 10 points in total. The overall score (0–10) is the weighted sum:

What we check
Licence & operator transparency
25%
Is the licence active in the regulator’s public register, and does the operator say clearly who it is?
Availability in your country
15%
Whether the operator’s own terms allow players from this country, the whole country or only parts, and whether it holds a licence from this country’s regulator.
Published payment terms
20%
How completely the operator publishes its cashier rules. We report the operator’s figures; we do not measure payout speed ourselves.
Account & withdrawal terms
15%
Whether the full terms are readable and whether the rules that most often block withdrawals are spelled out.
Bonus terms transparency
10%
Whether bonus rules and the current welcome offer’s key terms are published by the operator.
Responsible gambling tools
10%
Which player-protection tools the operator says it offers in its terms or responsible-gambling page.
Published support channels
5%
Which support channels the operator publishes. We do not rate answer quality.

Scoring rules
“Met” earns the full points and needs a link to the primary source plus a check date. “Not met” scores 0.
Unverified = minimum score (0). If we cannot confirm an item in a primary source (page blocked, information missing, third-party sources only), it scores 0 and is shown on the review as “unverified”.
Caps: if the licence is not confirmed as active in the public register (L1), the score is capped at 3.0. The same cap applies when the operator is not available to people in the edition’s country.
Maths: sum of weight × criterion points, rounded to one decimal. Availability is scored separately for each country edition; every other check applies to the operator as a whole.
Every review shows every check with its status, a note and the source. When terms or registers change we re-check and update the verification date.
What the score does not tell you
The score is based on published information. It does not tell you whether an operator honours those terms in your case, how good its support answers are, or how its site feels to use. Withdrawal times are always the operator’s own figures. A high score is not a recommendation to play where the operator is not licensed.
Rules per edition
Without a complete checklist we publish no score and do not list the operator.
Germany: only operators on the official GGL whitelist (GlüStV 2021).
Australia: information pages only — no rankings and no operator links, because the Interactive Gambling Act 2001 prohibits offering online casino games to people in Australia (enforced by the ACMA). Operator pages for Australia explain whether the operator itself excludes Australians.
Canada, New Zealand, Ireland: category pages only list operators whose own terms do not exclude the country; offshore status and regional restrictions (e.g. Ontario) are stated openly.
Independence
Scores follow from the checks alone; commercial agreements never change them. Category lists are ordered by score, ties alphabetically. You can report an error at any time: Report an error.
